Why it’s important that your products are TPO-free
Dear customers,
In recent months, the cosmetics world has been talking a lot
about TPO (Trimethylbenzoyl Diphenylphosphine Oxide), a substance
commonly used as a photoinitiator in gel polishes and other UV/LED curing nail
products.
This compound has been classified by the European Union as a
prohibited cosmetic ingredient (CMR 1B – suspected carcinogen) and will be completely
banned from 1 September 2025 in all cosmetic products sold on the EU
market.
What does this mean for you?
- Products
containing TPO will no longer be allowed for sale or use in beauty salons
after this date.
- The
main reason for the ban is to protect consumer safety and reduce exposure
to potentially hazardous substances.
Good news – our products are TPO-FREE!
At our company, safety and quality always come first. None of our products
contain TPO – and we have never used this ingredient in any of our
formulations.
Instead of TPO, we use safer and approved photoinitiators
such as TPO-L, BAPO, PPD, or CQ, which provide the same excellent curing
performance without the risks associated with TPO.
